Caleb's great friend is Ruby Howards. Ruby is 1 month older than Caleb and the two of them together is just the cutest thing. Now that they are both learning to sit up it's creating much more interest in each other. They were reaching and grabbing for eachother ---it was so cute. What a fun morning at the park! Aren't they so cute in their sun hats

New Class
I signed Isaac up for a new city class -gymnastics. And he doesn't like it......he LOVES it! And why wouldn't he. It's the perfect class for high energy kids. He gets to jump around, crawl and run through an obstacle course, bounce on trampolines, and play it ball pits. It was so much fun to watch him and what made it even better was that he was the only kid in the class. I have no idea why but we were the only people that showed up so Isaac got all the attention. I hope nobody shows up again this week!!!
And we can't forget about Caleb!

A Sad Farewell
My in-laws left for Dallas yesterday and it was a very sad day. They are moving to Dallas because of a job transfer and though they have moved many times in there life this move is especially sad - - for obvious reasons. They have been in Irvine for 19 years now and in the same house for most of that time. They raised two beautiful kids, made countless friends, and welcomed two grandsons here. And though this is a sad time it's important for all f us to look at the bright side and the future: Peter still has a great job in this bad economy, Texas is only a three hour flight away, they have purchased the most beautiful house in a brand new area, and Isaac has really enjoyed learning the saying "Yee Ha"!! :) At their going away party, we all dressed up in cowboy attire and ate BBQ. What a fitting send off! The boys wore the cutest cowboy shirts that Marian and Peter picked up for them in Dallas
Marian and Peter -we love you! We'll miss you!! Can't wait to see you on Labor Day! And don't worry - Adam is going to teach me Skype and then you will see the boys all the time!!

Great Grandma
Caleb got to meet his Great Grandma for the first time last week. Great Grandma leaves super close -in Irvine -but do to health reasons we don't get to see her very much. So this was a special treat. It was actually only the second time Isaac has ever met her and he throughly enjoyed playing with her. I was so glad she got to spend time with my boys and it was awesome that we had 4 generations of my family in one room!

Our neighborhood
Though we didn't realize it at the time, we chose to live in the perfect community for our boys. We have a beautiful green grass area in front of our house, a great, safe neighborhood to take walks in, but most importantly we live in an area with lots of other little kids. Our area alone has 10 kids (half of them being boys)! Isaac loves playing with his friend -which he does so almost daily and it has helped create quite a community for us here. When it was hot last week we decided to get the blow up pool out and create a water slide in front. Not long Isaac three friends had joined him and they all had a blast! What a great place to live!

4th of July 2010 Recap
For 4th of July we did the Greentree parade at my parent's house. This is the second year we have done this parade and it is so much fun for Isaac and to decorate. This year Adam brought out the bike and trailer for him and Isaac. It was a huge success -Isacc loved riding in the bike trailer. And Caleb and I followed in the stroller.
That evening we went to our good friend Brad and Kara's house for a BBQ and fireworks. The BBQ was great and the fireworks would have been great except the automated system that sets the fireworks off broke so a few poor souls had to manually go down and set the fireworks off. It was mesmerizing watching these people light the fireworks and then duck and cover so they didn't get burned! What an awful job!!! Anyway -Isaac loved the fireworks and Caleb did great!! It was a great 1st holiday as a family of 4!
